After the steam error which started tonight at around midnight CET, liberty was unable to recover from this problem for unknown reasons. All other servers did in fact recover automatically instantly when steam was back. 

Because of this problem we had to restart liberty, which is now running fine again.
It wasn't our mistake, still we feel very sorry for this problem, everyone on Liberty gets 5 hours of sleep bonus for the downtime!
